2000 Peterbilt 379 EXHD. 18 speed, 3.55 rears on low air, 1,606,953 current odometer miles

Details:

Cummins N14 525 hp. Maintenance records from previous owner indicate out of frame overhaul in March of 2020 and 191,000 miles. No paperwork available. I called North tec equipment in Pasco, WA who did the overhaul to see if I could get paperwork. They told me that they switched computer systems in 2021 and could not pull up records previous to that. Even with low miles on OH, the motor had excessive blowby. We did the following repairs to the engine:

-new rings and liners. A couple rings were gapped wrong and one looked like the tip of the ring had boken off.

-new rod and main bearings

-New camshaft- a couple lobes had scarring on them so we replaced with new cam

-removed heads and inspected. All 3 were good. Installed new head gaskets and checked liner protrusion on all. All were within spec

-Complete new engine gasket set installed

I have receipts for over $60k in repairs the previous owner had done on this truck since Jan of 2022 including

-20k miles on new 18918 transmission and clutch.

-New parts/repairs in last 2 years-new air compressor, driveline u joints, slack adjusters, fan hub, exhaust manifolds, suspension re-bushing, Cam sensor, torsion bars, spring pin bushings, carrier bearing, steering gear box, injectors, oil pump,

-Old floor in cab removed and replaced with new

-fresh 2 stage paint, Rubberized coating on back of sleeper to resist dings

-Pre Emission NO EGR NODPF NO DEF

-ELD Exempt
