13 years old. Grade quarter horse gelding. About 15.1hh. Halter broke, good for farrier, teeth done last fall.
Purchased him about a year and a half ago. Rode him throughout the summer without issues. Not broke broke but rides well enough in a snaffle bit. Started having behavior issues under saddle in the fall, gave him the winter, spring and half of this summer off - mostly due to my own confidence issues. Hes fine with saddling but ducks away when you try to get on him. I just had him at the vet in Casselton. And he was very sore throughout his back and withers. We did X-rays of his back - they dont show kissing spine. He got a full body work over, chiropractic and acupuncture. They suggested I have him on equioxx for the next month.
I unfortunately dont think I can do him justice anymore. Hes not a bad horse and hes not mean. I just dont have the experience or confidence to get him back to where he was. I have videos from his previous owners of him dragging tires in an arena, walking over obstacles, etc. I was told he was used to work cattle. Hes a very nice horse, Ive just accepted Im not the right person for him. Please message me or text me for more information, videos, photos, etc.
